On Monday, January 30, 2023, YouTuber Laith Abdallah Algaz, better known online as Leo Rex, was discovered dead inside his home in Pattaya, Thailand, under mysterious circumstances. Charles Anthony Hughes, Leo’s friend, discovered his body after the expatriate failed to return his phone calls.
Leo ran a highly successful YouTube channel, Leo and Longevity, where he provided his unique perspective on men’s health issues.
Local authorities discovered the 34-year-old lying face down, wearing only a black t-shirt, with blood trickling from his mouth and nose and a bruise on his left eye, according to reports.
His apartment had been ransacked, with clothes strewn everywhere and cabinets and the bathroom toilet destroyed. Officers also discovered drugs and prescription medications at the scene, including sleeping pills, anxiety pills, cannabis, steroids, and antidepressants.

His YouTube channel has over 130,000 subscribers.
Following his death, Leo Rex’s friend Aicha Humera Rattanaphan lamented that “he lived alone” and “did not have many visitors.” He went on to say that the vlogger frequently stayed at home on his computer while using cannabis.
According to police captain Sombat Kaewmulsuk, they are not ruling out foul play and are awaiting the results of his autopsy. He also stated that after reviewing CCTV footage, officers would question Leo’s friends and a woman who stayed with him prior to his death.
Authorities have stated that this is an ongoing investigation and have urged everyone not to jump to conclusions until the investigations are finished. Leo’s body was transported to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for a postmortem examination.
