Nikki Secondino, a transgender Instagram model from New York, was arrested on Thursday, January 26, 2023, for brutally killing her father and critically injuring her sister.

According to Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez, the bl**dy rampage occurred on December 29, 2022, at their home in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, following an argument over a laptop.

The 22-year-old model has been charged with second-degree murder, second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Nikki Secondino initially claimed that two men broke into their home and committed the heinous crime.
Nikki claimed to responding officers that two assailants broke into her home and demanded money from the safe before fatally attacking her father and sister and sexually assaulting her.
Liana Secondino, Nikki’s injured sibling, told police:
“My sister stabbed me,” she said, and “Have you seen my father?”
Police suspected Nikki of fabricating the story to shift blame away from her after noting the absence of a safe in the home and the lack of serious wounds on her except those on her hands.
According to the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office, Nikki Secondino allegedly used a hammer to repeatedly hit her 61-year-old father, Carlo Secondino, who was sleeping on the couch, before stabbing him with a kitchen knife.
Liana intervened when she heard a disturbance in the living room, but she was also stabbed in the face, body, and hands.
Following her arrest, Nikki Secondino admitted to wanting her family dead in a disturbing confession:
“I came out of the bedroom, and I saw my father sitting on (the) couch sleeping, and I bashed (his) head in with (a) hammer… I grabbed my favorite German steel knife and stabbed the sh*t out of him”
Carlo was pronounced dead at the scene, and 19-year-old Liana was rushed to Maimonides Hospital in critical condition for surgery, just days before her 20th birthday, according to the New York Daily News. Nikki Secondino was also taken to NYU Langone.
The Secondino family has a history of domestic violence.
The police have been called to the house several times before. Carlos was accused of threatening to kill Liana in July 2022, and of slapping Nikki in September.
In a separate incident in July, Liana was charged with assault and criminal mischief after ripping off the blinds during a fight with Nikki, prompting the latter to issue a temporary restraining order against her family.
According to other reports, Carlos was terrified of his eldest daughter. Yadira Gomez, co-owner of Mike’s Diner, explained that he was proud of both of his daughters. Nikki was accused of being lazy by family members, and Carlos wanted her to get a job.
Nikki Secondino was ordered detained without bail by Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Elizabeth Warin on January 30, 2023. Her next court appearance is scheduled for April 5, 2023. If convicted, she faces a prison sentence ranging from fifty years to life.
