Shakira Leaves Cryptic Message on Instagram After Ex Gerard Piqué and Girlfriend Make Instagram Official
Shakira is literally moving on after her ex Gerard Piqué shared his first Instagram photo with girlfriend Clara Chia Marti. See the pop star’s depressing post.
A day after Shakira’s ex Gerard Piqué made his relationship with girlfriend Clara Chia Marti Instagram official by posting a selfie of the two, the pop star posted a cryptic message on her own account.

“The women are no longer crying; the women are dancing the merengue!” Shakira wrote in Spanish in an Instagram post on January 26. “Women don’t cry anymore, women dance merengue!” she says in her post. The 45-year-old singer’s message features a lyric from her and DJ Bizarrap’s new single, “BZRP Music Session #53,” as well as a video of herself dancing to the song.

In the song, the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer appears to shade Gerard, 35, and Clara, 23. There are also lyrics like, “Good luck with your so-called replacement / I have no idea what happened / You’re acting so strangely that I don’t even recognise you / I’m worth the equivalent of two 22-year-olds / You traded in your Ferrari for a Twingo, and your Rolex for a Casio.”

Later, the former FC Barcelona player appeared to mock the latter line, declaring on Twitch that he had a deal in place with Casio to sponsor his project King’s League. The electronics company has not responded to Gerard’s comments, but it has commented on its appearance in Shakira and DJ Bizarrap’s single.
“Today we have a lot of notifications for CASIO being mentioned in a song,” the company’s education division tweeted on Jan. 11. “CASIO (watches and keyboards) and (calculators) are #Harder, #Better, #Faster, #Stronger for life.”

In August 2022, Gerard and Clara confirmed their romance when they were seen getting cozy together at a wedding in Catalonia, Spain.

Shakira and Gerard will divorce in June 2022. Milan, 9, and Sasha, 7, are their two sons.

“It’s difficult to talk about it, especially because I’m still going through it,” Shakira told Elle in September of last year. “And because I’m in the public eye, and because our divorce isn’t like any other. As a result, it’s been difficult not only for me, but also for my children.
