Season 2 of Chris Pratt’s The Terminal List has been confirmed: plot, cast, and other details

After the first season of The Terminal List was a commercial success, Amazon Studios has now confirmed a second season, as well as plans for another spinoff that will expand the universe beyond the one shown in the first season.

Furthermore, according to reports, the second season of The Terminal List will be based on Jack Carr’s New York Times best-selling novel True Believer. Carr has written four more novels about James Reece since the first book, so the series is likely to continue and spiral further. The series also appears to have its own fanbase.

The studio has also announced an untitled prequel series centred on fan favourite Ben Edwards, who will be played by Taylor Kitsch. Both projects will star Chris Pratt, who appears to have adapted well to the role.

While most expected the show to be renewed right after the first season concluded, it took Amazon some time to announce the renewal.

When will Season 2 of The Terminal List premiere?

While no release date has been announced, the second season of James Reece’s adventures is expected to premiere in 2024. This is due to the show’s delayed renewal, which means it will not have a new season this year.

Season 2 of The Terminal List will be co-produced by Amazon Studios and Civic Center Media, in collaboration with MRC Television. Jennifer Salke, the head of Amazon and MGM Studios, stated about the series:

“The Terminal List’s phenomenal summer debut is a testament to the creativity of Jack Carr, David DiGilio, and Chris Pratt, as well as the cast and teams who delivered such an original and compelling series… We are expanding on the storytelling and characters beloved by so many people all over the world with the second season of The Terminal List and Prime Video’s new prequel series starring the incredible Taylor Kitsch.”

Chris Pratt, who will appear in both the second season of the show and the prequel based on Ben Edwards, appears to be excited about the upcoming season as well. In a recent interview, the actor said of the renewal:

I’m thrilled to announce that the second season of The Terminal List is in the works, and I can’t wait to reprise my role as James Reece. I can’t wait for everyone to see this season, which promises to be even more intense and action-packed than the first.

And for fans of Taylor Kitsch’s Ben Edwards, I’m excited to announce that we’re also working on a spinoff series that will delve deeper into his story and follow his journey from Navy SEAL to CIA operative.”

Pratt went on to say: “To add to the excitement, I will also be appearing in this prequel series! I guarantee it will be just as exciting and engaging as The Terminal.

The man behind the brilliant character and the idea, Jack Carr, has also hinted that the series will be a violent tribute to Reece’s vengeance-filled journey of redemption. With everything in place, things appear to be getting pretty exciting for fans.

More information will undoubtedly become available as the days pass. Stay tuned for more information.
